Earth Angel

The Earth Angel Recycling Program is the city’s curbside recycling service. It is provided free of charge as part of the services provided by the Hot Springs Solid Waste Department. “Recycling is the best way to protect the environment from overburdened landfills while reducing costs. By taking part in the Earth Angel Recycling Program, you have the opportunity to help ensure a healthy future for our community,” a news release said.

The Earth Angel truck collects aluminum cans; brown paper grocery bags; corrugated cardboard; plastic grades No. 1 and No. 2; newsprint; telephone books; and leaves, grass and small brush.

The city will furnish the container and a calendar of scheduled collection days. The container should be placed curbside prior to 6 a.m. for pickup. Residents who are not currently participating in the Earth Angel Recycling Program and would like to get involved can call 501-321-6911 or sign up online at

If a resident misses a regularly-scheduled recycling day or has full containers, the Solid Waste Department offers a 24-hour Recycling Drop-off Center, located at the corner of Valley and Runyon streets, for aluminum cans, corrugated cardboard, glass bottles/jars, newsprint, plastic (grades No. 1 and No. 2) and sorted office paper. Special pickups may be scheduled by calling the Solid Waste Office for those unable to drop off their recycling.

Individuals can also utilize the Recycling Center at 218 Runyon St. from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays. This location accepts the same items as the Drop-Off Center, as well as electronic waste, or e-waste, including computers, monitors, televisions, keyboards, VCR/DVD players, microwaves and other small devices.
