Gaston County Shred Day coming soon

Happy Halloween! This is the weekend for trick or treating for sure! Between fall festivals and carnivals and “trunk-or-treating,” Monday is the real day for costumed kids to go door to door, scaring all of the neighbors! I hope you have some cute little ones at your door.

What’s happening next Saturday is equally as important − Shred Day sponsored by Keep Gastonia Beautiful and Gaston County Solid Waste and Recycling. We will be at our usual spot, the Gastonia Farmers Market from 8 a.m. until noon, Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022.

The Farmers Market will still be open for late fall vegetable, meats, crafts and flowers, so spend some time at the market after (or before) you drop off the papers for shredding. Also, as usual, there is a limit of three banker boxes (or equivalent sized containers) per person. This is not a drop off for businesses, churches or school. Please do not bring materials that should not come to us! But, what should? Here is the list of things to be shred:
