Goodwill e-waste collection April 23 in Adrian

ADRIAN — Anyone looking to reduce clutter by getting rid of old electronics will want to bring that waste to Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Michigan on April 23.

There will be an e-waste collection event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. that Saturday at Goodwill, 1357 Division St. in Adrian.

“We’re accepting all things electronic. So that would stretch from computers, keyboards, monitors, mice, televisions, record players, tape decks, VCRs, DVD players — all things electronic,” Joe Michalec, sustainability manager for Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Michigan, said. “Now generally the big thing that everyone wants to get rid of at this time is the tube televisions — that along with the CRT (cathode ray tube) computer monitors, same thing — … those TVs that we used to have with the big backend to them whether it was the computer monitor or the television.”
