Habitat ReStore offers e-waste recycling Saturday – Daily Press

JAMES CITY COUNTY — Bring your small appliances, laptops and VCRs (virtually anything with a plug) to the Habitat for Humanity ReStore for the free JunkLuggers E-Waste Recycling Event on Saturday.

JunkLuggers will be on site at the Williamsburg ReStore, located at 1303 Jamestown Road, between 1 and 4 p.m. Printers, old cell phones, computer accessories, miscellaneous wires and random metal items can also be recycled.

JunkLuggers is a community partner with Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg, which operates the ReStore. Both are committed to sustainability and look for ways to keep waste out of landfills. Approximately 75% to 80% of electronic waste ends up in a landfill.

After dropping off your recycled items, shop at the ReStore, which sells furniture, gently used appliances and much more with all proceeds benefitting the local Habitat affiliate. Learn more at ReStorePGW.org.
