Honor Bank and Safety Net in Traverse City will host and e-waste recycling drive next Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
You can drop off unwanted electronics at the Honor Bank location in downtown Traverse City. Pick-up is also available to businesses by request. Proceeds from the recycled material will benefit goodwill of northern Michigan.
“The landfills are filling up with all kinds of stuff and electronics are the last thing in the world we want to have laying around with different types of metals and different types of chemicals in there,” said Tim Cerny, Safety Net CEO. “So there’s so many parts in those electronics that can be recycled and re-used and it’s just the responsible thing to do.”
