LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — The City of Lynchburg’s Public Works Department will conduct household hazardous waste and electronic recycling collection at the Turnpike Convenience Center at 2525 Concord Turnpike.
According to the Public Works Department, the service will take place on Saturday, Oct. 8, from 8 a.m. until noon. It will be a free service for all City of Lynchburg, Amherst County, and Campbell County residents only.
City of Lynchburg and Campbell County residents can complete the Household Hazardous Waste and Electronic Recycling Verification Form here. Residents must bring the form with them.
Amherst County residents are asked to contact Amherst County Public Works at 434-846-3324 for a voucher that will be required at the convenience center.
Public Works is asking residents to adhere to the following for the collection:
- Residents must present a valid photo ID.
- Place small items in non-returnable containers and place them in the rearmost compartment of your vehicle. No trailers will be allowed.
